Code 43 and 64....
Code 43 and 64....
I went and scanned my pcm again today. I erased the codes a few days ago because I figured they were from the old setup. I think I was right, because I only got 2 codes today. Before, i was getting 6.
I don't understand how I got a code 64. how could I be lean only on one side?

Re: Code 43 and 64....
Unless you do a full data log, you don't know its only lean on one side. Maybe the other side is running lean too, but not quite lean enough to max out the BLM's and set the code. By looking at a full data log, you can see the BLM's for a wide selection of Cells and determine if its a problem affecting one side or both sides of the engine.
As far as "how can it run lean on only one side"... often this is the result of a "false lean" condition. Can be caused by exhaust leaks before the O2 sensor, misfires or a bad O2 sensor or wiring problem on the side with the code.

How did people diagnose all this stuff back in the carburetor days?
