code 36-new opti-runs great-damp air?

My optispark is only only 2 months old. The car runs great but I just took it to the car wash and I didn't even open the hood (I know getting the opti wet)
But when I left the car was, my check engine light came on. I didn't think a whole lot about it because my egr valve has been sticking now and then and I get a code from it sometimes. I stopped at Blockbuster and when I came out the light was off. I got home and read the code and got the dreaded code 36. I cleared it and drove it around for a while and the light hasn't came back on but the car is running fine. I know my other optispark was doing lots of crazy stuff like cutting out and dieing when it was going out but this doesn't make sence to me with the car running so good.
The only thing I can think of was maybe the moisture in the air (98 deg day and very humid) and the weather may have tripped it....

Anyone else have this happen?

That's the loss of the high resolution pulse pattern. Might want to check the wiring harness at all the connectors from the Opti back to the PCM. Common problem for the harness connectors to corrode and corrupt the signal.

My car sets that code about every 4 months, I clear it and keep on going.

I have checked my opti connections and they look fine. Guess I will wait until it starts running bad until I look any further into it.

Update, I think I may have figured it out. I have smoothie 2 wheels and when I was spraying them with the gun at the carwash I think that some of the water deflected up to the optispark from the back of the rim. Like I say, it happened right there at the car wash. I have taken the car around town a couple of times and its running great. I sure hope it's not going bad though, I'm on my 3rd one already.......

Thanks for the input guys
