Code 36???
Ok i have a 95 z28 and i just replaced my distributor two weeks ago...it works great but my ses light came on today...so i scanned it and it came up code 36 low baro sensor?? wtf? does low baro sensor mean?? hmm well could it be their is just dust on the sensor cuz it drives perfectly normal .....any ideas?? thanx alot

In my manual for a V8, DTC36 means the high resolution pulse from the distributor has a problem. Check the pin on the distributor connector at the purple/white wire to see if its bent or damaged. There's another connector about 3 feet away from that connector. See if it's ok as well.
If they look ok, seperate the second connector and probe the purple/white wire that goes to the PCM, not the distributor side, with a DVM to ground. With ignition on and DVM set to DC, you should read 4 to 6 volts.
If 4-6 is there, you probably have a distributor problem. The optical sensor is probably bad. If you don't have 4-6 there, probe the pin at the PCM to be sure it's there and if so, you have a wiring problem.
Chances are if you didn't have the problem before, you just changed the opti and you don't have a wiring problem, then you're probably SOL.
