had cat replaced yesterday but the tech wants to keep the car due to a burnt plug wire.
the dealer is waiting on a wire...prob monday.

my wires,opti and plugs were replaced less than 100 miles ago.
anyway, the tech said it idles slow and erratic...but revs out fine. he said now there was a code 16 i think which he said was opti. he did something and the code has not reset....but the idle/miss is stimm there.

any ideas ?

 

As you have probably read on this board, 16 is a low resolution opti code. It must be intermittent as the engine will not run if the problem is present. If not the opti, maybe the electrical harness has some corrosion on it.
