coated intakes
Has anyone here had their intake coated. I don't mean powdercoated, but what I'm talking about is like what Paul Barry does. He has some pics of a coated intake on his site, and I was wondering if anyone has any pics of it installed, or if they have noticed a difference in temps and performance as well as sealing quality once installed.

Seems to me that unless you had the entire thing coated inside, out and underneath, that it would trap in MORE heat that could not escape because the porous surface of the intake would be covered over. Even if it was totally covered it may still have this problem.
I'll take mine au-naturale thank you

The inside and outside are both coated. Think header coating and that's what this is. His website is http://www.pbmotorsports.com/ Go to ceramic coating/pictures and you will see the intake.
