Clutch Still slipping.... Please read.

to make a really long story short I got a new engien put in my car, when I had this done the clutch had about 6k miles on it. The guys at the shop thought it would be a good idea to replace just the disc since they are only $100. So after that is slipped in high RPM range, I bought it back and a they bleed the system and replace the slave cyclinder, same thing, so then they relaced the fork because it was rubbing on the pressure plate, now it still slips.

They only thing I could think of is the pressure plate, now could a plate with 6k miles on it be making the whole thing slip when I try to shift at high rpms?

an intake gasket failure could be a problem although it seems like they should have caught that by now....

It would cause oil to leak into the bellhousing.

Oil + clutch = slip

Do you have a new flywheel, or did you get the old one resurfaced?

Yeah, you could have an oil leak from the rear of the intake or the rear main seal that is killing your clutch discs. However, that is fairly obvious (lots of oil inside the bellhousing) and that should have been caught by the shop. If the disc/pressure plate assembly was improperly assembled, it could slip, because it was not properly loaded. Also, the pressure plate could be bad (yeah its unlikely after only 6k miles, but it seems like the only other option here).

is it possible that you are just overpowering the stock clutch or have you upgraded it?
