Clutch Price Rip Off?

About 2 months ago or so I had my engine rebuilt and the clutch along with some other thigns replaced. I assume the mechanic put in the stock clutch but he said it was $432 just for the parts! Does that sound extremely high or are the clutches that good. I've been told that for that price I could have bought a much better clutch. What do yall think?
Thanks
Billy

You could have gotten a better clutch for that price. For almost that exact same price you could get a Star Spec Stage II clutch.

If it is in fact a stock clutch, you were ripped. If he went to the dealer to purchase the clutch then it may be right, but you can get a stock clutch and pressure plate from Advanced for ~$250.
