Clutch opinions....

I am in need of a clutch. I want something that will handle everything in my sig, 4:10's and a 150 shot (gears and NOS will be in this spring). I want something that performes, but I don't want to lose ALL drivability. I am willing to sacrafice a little, but I don't want to make it a track car just yet.

Here is what I am debating....

Spec Stage IIIi
RAM Powergrip Set

What are your opinions on either/both of these, and are there any others I need to be considering?

Thumbs up Re: Clutch opinions....

I got my SPECIII over the summer and man does that thing grab....when you first get it you will feel like a dick cause its almost like driving stick for first time again it takes a little getting used to but its worth it, Its very streetable just watch the rear if you have sticky tires with that clutch......ask me how i know, thats why 12 bolt is in sig. I def recomend the spec.

I'm always on street tires now, but I will be running drag radials at the track. Until I can afford my 12 bolt, thats the setup so far.

Thanks man, anyone else?

Re: Clutch opinions....

i totally agree its an awesome clutch
to tell ya how awesome it is i just put in my LT headers shifted hard into second and blew my rear the same night
so my vote is stage 3 hard to get used to at first but once you do its awesome

Re: Clutch opinions....

Wow, I'm not really in the mood to blow up my rear-end either. I still drive this car a little. I don't have the money for a 12 bolt yet. Its not gonna do me any good to have a bad *** clutch when my car is dead. Should I go to the stage II?

Re: Clutch opinions....

dont take that the wrong way the clutch isnt gonna blow your rear
if you drive it really hard thats what is gonna blow it and with a performance clutch that really cant be avoided
but if you drive wisely (which i dont LOL) your clutch and rear will last alot longer
and my car is my daily driver also but hey i broke it so i gotta suffer
and ive had this clutch since jully and driven near 10000 HARD miles with it and when i say hard i mean HARD
ive blown up my second gear and my rear
so if ya drive it nice it will be fine
