Clutch install, now very hard to shift with car running!!
OK, so I just installed a McLeod Dual Perfomance clutch and pressure plate. I had the flywheel machined. The clutch I pulled out appeared to be the stocker, which means the flywheel has never been cut before now. I installed a new aftermarket pilot bushing, and I also installed a Pro 5.0 shifter. With the car off, I can run through the gears fine, but I don't think I can hit reverse. With the car running, I really have to pull to get it in gear, and I can't get reverse. The clutch pedal seems to have a little vibration to it. What is the problem? Could there be air in the lines? I had to play with the slave cylinder a little to get it back on. What else could be the problem? Please help!
Have you actually driven it yet, or just tried to run through the gears without moving? If that is the case, then maybe the disc is just stuck to the pressure plate, and once you move it will fix itself. This is exactly what happened to me after installing a new clutch, it wouldn't disengage and was a bitch to get into gear, but once I got the car rolling it worked itself out.

Check you reverse lockout solenoid to make sure it is plugged in and the wires are in the connector. Mine was really hard to get into reverse once and a wire fell out of the connector and made it hard as heck to get in there.
If that is plugged in and no wires are hanging off of it then I assume something in the clutch install isn't right.

I didn't go for the Street Twin because I don't have that kind of money sitting around right now, and even if I did, I couldn't justify spending that much for a (right now) mostly stock car. I know I could have gotten a seperate McLeod flywheel, but I would rather put the money towards something more important like headers.

Mine was the same way. Make sure you have the three sensors in, then get in into reverse, and just back up. I did that and it worked perfect after that. This same problem happens when people let their cars sit where there is a lot of moisture too, the pp and clutch just kinda stick together. If it doesn't work, you might want to check out the clutch fork. Are the gears progressively easier to get into, like 6th is easier than 1st?
