Clutch Ignition Safety Switch help- Shoebox!

Ok
on the white wire i read 5.31 volts DC
on the brown wire i read .43 volts DC

I used the Metal triangle on the steering column as ground.

I was suppose to get 12 volts DC on one of these 1 of wires right???

But i tried bypassing the switch by plugging paper clip ends in the white and brown connectors and it still didnt start..??

The yellow wire should have 12v on it, but only when the key in the START position.

Thakns for your help shoebox.. That wire i was testing was actually a purple wire and the other was white..

Its the wrong one... all the yellow ones are are attached to large harnesses... I cant find it. I dont know what it looks like.. I dont see anything else in there that looks like it..
Im so fed up with this thing and im a moron.

only thing i hear when i try and turn it is some click in the engine bay..
Im gonna get someone over who knows what they are looking at underneath there.

The switch is mounted on the clutch pedal linkage arms. There may be a couple of other connectors in the same place. Don't mess with any yellow wires with yellow connectors-those are for the air bags.
