Clutch Help....Quick, broken down on road.

I was driving home today, have a 97 Formula with M6 and 72k miles. The car runs great no problems at all. Then as I am driving home and shifting gears like normal out of nowhere the clutch pedal sinks to the floor and doesn't seem to want to release. I can still change gears but the clutch is no longer working. It does appear I have fluid in the resevoir still.
The other thing i noticed when I popped the hood is that it appears something is missing off of the firewall, directly to the left of the steering shaft (not under the brake booster). It also looked like half of the plastic cover protecting the steering shaft got ripped off and there is now two holes and a threaded stud visible on the firewall. The holes appear to go all the way through the firewall. Please help guys with any opinions or advice. Thanks

Are you trying to insight that your Master Cylinder cam loose?

Only two clutch related components are in that area... 1 the clutch fluid resivoir with is to the right of the brake master cyliner and below them to the right of the Steering linkage will be the u bolt that holds in your master cylinder.

I wasn't trying to imply anything really, just an observation mostly. The resevoir is there, I am not too sure what the clutch master cylinder looks like. All I do know though is the clutch isn't working. I can't get it to engage or disengage the engine and it won't go into gear at all. If anybody has any suggestions on what is wrong that would be great. Thanks guys
