Clutch Compatibility

Well, my newest 93 is going to need a clutch. What I'm looking at is a single disc McLeod setup with a SLP flywheel. Does anyone see any compatibility problems here, or should this work good. Only reason I'm asking is because the car is a hotcam/ported heads car and I need a good deal more grip than a stock clutch can take.

It should work just fine. I just got done installing a McLeod Dual Performance set myself, but I reused the stock flywheel. Let me know if you have any questions. Oh, and be sure to replace the pilot bushing and rear main seal while you're in there.

Wait....did you install a Street Twin with a stock flywheel?? I didn't know that was possible.

I've got a street twin in my Black Trans Am, and I had the rear main replaced because it went, and the shop that did the work didn't get it right because it's leaking again. So I gotta drop that one.

My Purple Pearl Trans Am is going to be my girlfriends daily driver. Even though it's probably making 350+ RWHP, we're only going with a single McLeod setup because it's not going to see sticky tires or a lot of track time. But yeah, the rear main is gonna get replaced, and you'd be a fool not to replace the pilot bearing while you're in there. Even if it's only preventitive.

Yeah, I made the mistake of letting her sit in a C5 I was looking at. Whoops, now that's all she wants. But we ended up buying the Purple Pearl T/A in my sig link because I couldn't beat the deal. It was incredible. She has her mind set on a stable of cars: C5 Vette, 71 Ram Air III Trans Am, 72 Chevelle SS, things of that nature. She's more attached to my Black Trans Am than I am. Do I got it good or what?!?!
