Clutch bites hard..

This isnt necesarily a bad thing but the clutch RPS max series street disk I have in the car bites hard. I thought that it was naturally this way but its nothing like any other M6 Fbod Ive driven. With those cars you can just about have the clutch all the way out with a tiny bit of gas and you begin to go. With my set up now if your off the clutch more than 1/2 way you'll stall. You have to give it a lot of gas and slip the clutch, if not the car jumps forward like when someone is driving a stick for the first time. Ive had about 5 people drive my car and 4 of them have stalled the first time.

Also when shifting to 2nd the car juts forward, almost like you have your foot on the gas too soon before the clutch comes out...and when down shifting if you dont give it a little rev before you shift the car jumps forward hard and the RPMs go way down.

Is this clutch or something else?

It isnt a huge problem but does make the car tedious to drive sometimes when your just cruising. When your racing it feels good though...

How new is the clutch? New clutches sometimes tend to grab real hard an can almost be either on or off, they either slip or grab no happy medium, a couple hard down shifts should striahgten it right out. Just needs to get broken in a little, then it will slip a little and be easier to drive.

That sounds exactly like my old stage 3 ceramic.... wait till you get stuck in traffic then you'll really start having fun. But damn I was chirping 4'th on a stock motor, not even headers with that clutch but it was way too much.

The clutch is fairly new, Id say it maybe has 600 miles on it. It would have been broken in my now huh?

I guess Ill just have to live it for now and hope it calms down.

I just wanted to make sure something else wasnt going on.

Yeah they stopped making it AFAIK. I got the clutch along with a tranny swap kit. No idea on how much it can withstand.

The car it came off of but ~200 miles on it and had >600rwhp.

If it came off a car with 600 RWHP than i doubt your gonna soften it up too much at all. Not only that, but you may start to thrash your rear end with such an agressive clutch on your car.
