clutch
clutch
The last time I was at the track I pretty much did in my clutch, it's okay for short casual trips, but if you get on it or once it is hot it slips. I have decided to replace my clutch with a SPEC stage three with ceramic inserts on the clutch plate. My car only has mild upgrades right now, but in the near future it will be upgraded more. This is why I went with the stage 3. Here is my question, because I don't know a whole lot about clutches. I just recieved the clutch yesturday, and I am looking at the clutch plate, not the pressure plate. And it doesn't look like it has much material on it, I don't have a way to measure it, but if I was to take a guess it has 1/64" to 1/32" beyond the rivits holding the material on, is this normal? I also thought the pressure plate would be smooth, but it kinda feels like a record with small ridges, it that normal?
