Clunk from rear of the car

Every time i get the car inspected i get something busted or stollen no matter where i go. Anyway i got the car inspected yesterday and now everynow and a again i hear this clunk noise from the rear of the car. It sounds like when you fill an empty gas tank. Its not real loud and you cant feel it in the car. I think it might just be the driveshaft, Any Ideas> Thanks

Remove the spare tire and see if that fixes it. If not I'd try checking the panhard rod bushings, I had a problem where the 93 in the sig. would have a weird rear end rattle/vibration, I replaced them with poly bushings and that problem went away

Does it do it at certain times, like say when the car is shifting? When my Transmission Mount broke, my car would clunk everytime it shifted. Just a thought.

I checked out the panhard bushings and they look to be ok. One of my freinds told me that the car may be pissed off with how they took it off the lift. Today the car is not making the noise, i also made sure the spare was securely fastened, because i had a problem with this rattling a few times before. I think the temperature may have something to do with it because today its over 40 degrees. Thanks for the help
