I am putting accel injectors in my car and was wondering if these clips can be eliminated as the area on the injector will not work Not cut all the way around for it to clip on.

 

I used a Dremel to cut around LS1 injectors and the stock clips fit. But that was after I had the LS1 injectors on the car without clips for about 4 months.
So you can use them without clips as long as you make sure they seal ok on both sides, or cut around like I did.
I'm pretty sure the first option will work though.

 

I was told these clips are for production (ease of) and once the rail is on the injectors are trapped in a sense.
