Question Clicking Noise / Loss of Acceleration

I need some help troubleshooting what I think might be an ignition problem. I made a road trip from Atlanta to North Carolina yesterday. There were several times when I accelerated and the car would hesitate and I heard a clicking noise that definately sounded electrical and came from under the hood. I also noticed it this morning when I first started the car and accelerated at more than 1/2 throttle. I'm wondering if it may be something with the ignition. I installed a MSD blaster coil a couple of months ago. Could this be it? Could it be the injectors clicking while not getting fuel? I do need to replace the fuel filter and plan on doing that at some point this week. The clicking noise sounded like a starter will sound when it is dying, if you know what I mean. I don't think it is the starter, as I have had no problems with cranking, but that is the closest thing I can think of to compair the sound to. Can anyone give me some input as to what to check?

Thanks,

Joe

Check your spark plug wires to see if they are broken anywhere, where spark could jump from one end to another. Happened to me once.

Thanks. I'll check the plug wires. I burned through a few sets before going with the Taylor OVC setup adn haven't had any problems since, but I will check them this afternoon. Any other suggestions anyone?
