Replaced the cat. on my Lt1 and now i'm getting a ticking noise that sounds like it's coming from the cat. It sounds like a card in bike spokes. I would look around but it's dark, and I live in an apartment so my car is outside. Could this be an exaust leak?

 

That sounds to me like an exhaust leak for sure. Try to tighten all the bolts down and see if that fixes it.

 

what they did was weld a flange on the y-pipe and on the cat for easy removal...half way home I floored it and the noise started, I guess i'll look around it friday....supposed to rain tomorrow
