does the opti have anything to do with fuel coming out of the injectors?
anything at all... ex. via a code thru the pcm...

 

If the computer sees no pulses from the opti, the injectors will not operate.

 

thanks, now is there anyway to trouble shoot the possibility...

 

Check for the opti pulse on the harness.

The opti low res pulse syncs up the fuel injectors.

To test the low res pulse turn the key to the run position an turn the crank over by the balancer hub bolt. You can do this with a breaker bar and socket.

As you manually turn the crank you should hear the injectors momentarily kick on in a similar fashion that they do when you turn the key from the off position to the run position.

Also if the low res fails you should get a code, I think 16 but I might be wrong.

 

i did scan the pcm for codes and came up with nothing...
would this rule out the optispark?
