Cleaning vaccum lines

I thought my opti was craping out on me and i went and messed with some of the vaccum lines. Just disconnected some line and blew through them, and some of the check valves. Is there a specific way to clean the lines and check the check vavles. The opti wroked all day after i did that, so.....

Also what is normal vaccum pressure in these cars. I have never check the pressure and i might go buy a vaccum test kit. Is it easy, or what would the best way to check the vaccum lines. and certain position in the lines to check?
