Working on my friends 95 Camaro and when replacing the plugs and wires we found that two of them were not connected properly and had corroded the terminals on the opti.

Would it hurt anything if we removed the cap and washed it in an ultrasonic cleaner?

EDIT: I moved this to the right forum, and as an update the ultrasonic cleaner has it looking like new. When the gaskets come in and it gets back together I'll update if it runs or not.

 

After putting it all back together she fired right up and ran perfectly. No more miss.
