Cleaning fuel injectors with ultrasonic????
Cleaning fuel injectors with ultrasonic????
Hello all-
I'm looking to upgrade my 97 Z's 70K injectors, and I want to hand em down to my 130K LT1 9C1 caprice.
I have access to an ultrasonic water tank through work, so I can put em in a beaker of cleaning solution and suspend them in the tank for as long as I like.
My questions are- 1. Do I just plop the whole injector in, or do I need to disassemble it? 2. What cleaning solution, mild detergent or solvent? 3. How long? 4. Is it even worth the bother?
Thanks!

Re: Cleaning fuel injectors with ultrasonic????
the only true way to clean them is to run some cleaner through them while the needle is open and the only way to do that is to apply the correct amount of voltage to them. i would just send them to rc and have them cleaned and flow matched
