Cleaning the block..

Well, I'm poor and have basically ZERO credit. No if's, and's or but's about it. And I simply can't afford this last rebuild. But my car was my DD so I NEED it back. Well, my block needs cleaned before I have the bottom-end reassembled and my local machine shop suggested I pressure wash the block to save some cash. I wouldn't have to apy the 100 for the cleaning process and then whatever the total would be for the removing and reinstalling freeze plugs. What do you guys think about this? $5 for an hour's worth of time at the local carwash or 150+ for the proper way? Thanks

Pay someone to pull apart all the plugs and clean all the gallies, passages etc.
