Ok, 94 A4. For a few weeks now, my card has intermittently cranked for an extended period of time before it actually turns over and runs. After driving it for a while, sometimes the car will shake at idle. It also idles at about 500rpm, was 700 before this issue came up.
Just did plugs and wires. Checked the fuel pressure, good. Ignition control module is good.
One possibility is, my intake elbow is torn. Just received my new 1LE elbow yesterday, but haven't installed it yet. Could that cause those symptoms?
If not, what would?

Well, I'm finally home. I'll be installing the 1LE elbow as soon as my car cools a bit. I'll post results.

 

I'm 99.999999% sure after you do that your problems will go in the trash along with your torn elbow...lol had the same problem, trick flow cereamic coated elbow worked for me! good luck!

 

Well, replaced the elbow and it has started right up 5 times, but that has been itermittent, so we'll see.
The idle smoothed out, and raised up about 50-75 rpms. It seems to accelerate a lot smoother, and be running a bit better.
Hopefully, everything's cool now.
