Clanking sound

Hey everyone! I've got a 94 z28, and I put it into storage for the Canadian winter. I finally brought it out and now it seems to be making a knocking/clanking sound whenever I hit the gas. It happens after I start it up but goes away after a few minutes. While it does happen it sounds kinda like a lawn mower engine. What could it be? Any ideas?

I think i know what you are talking about. I removed my alternator thinking that the bearing were wore out but under the alternator is the AC compressor and it has a clutch that the belt runs on. That was so wore out and sounded terrible. It sounds like it comes from the alternator and Intake elbow
