I was browsing perfomance chips and the jet chip claims to give a LT-1 19-23 rwhp, does any one here have one of these? And what do you guys think of chips?

 

chips are good, i perfer the barbeque or ranch flavor....but they are fattning

as for chips for cars...they are useless.

and for technicality...94+ do not have "chips" per-say...they have an ECM which controlls everything. in order to alter settings you need to either have it reprogramed or a jet/hypercrap unit that splices in line with the ecm harness.

for half the cost of the jet/hypercrap units you can have your ECM reprogrammed by either bryan at www.pcmforless or madwolf from this board.
and they can delete some emissions equip, change for gears/tires, fan temps and other things...

 

I agree with Teke184. I've heard quite a few complaints about the Jet units. It would definately be more cost effective to have a customized ECM program. It takes advantage of any changes you've made to your setup and you have a say in what you want--versus a generic program or plugin unit.

Definetly or www.madz28.com but i got a jet chip for like 40.00. For an otherwise stock car, i'd say the jet chip *might* be worthwhile if u get it at such a cheap price. Then just sell it at ebay later on and make money and get th mail order tune
