Check Your FPR
This is becoming very tiresome.
........Hasn't anyone ever posted about the rise and fall of fuel pressure before or is this virgin territory? Maybe that's why I'm receiving so many responses which completely ignore the core issue and are only interested in my pressure numbers.
I'm trying not to sound too agitated but this is fast becoming ridiculous.

Your suggestion was helpful, and we appreciate it. We hope you also recognize that there are others here who may actually know what you are talking about. Not many virgins here.....

PS: I run my 64# Bosch injectors at 58 psi........ helps keep the duty cycle under 70% when I spray the 300 dry shot....
[SNIP=Injuneer;4857723]Perhaps you think we're all "virgins" here, but there are actually many knowledgable people. When the subject of fuel pressure comes up, many of us highlight the need to test the fuel pressure with and without the vacuum line connected, and remind them of the importance of checking the fuel pressure at WOT, as well as at idle. Shoebox has a "how to check your fuel pressure" guide on his web page.

I find it difficult on how you were able to come up with that; those "virgin" references. Why are you trying to turn this into a PERSONAL issue?? I'm not personally attacking anyone. GEZZZZZZ!
I wrote "Virgin territory" = Something not discussed before; Being discussed for the first time. How in the name of all this reasonable and purdent can that be construed to be referring to Forum members?
No wonder there are so many that lurk in the background and not post. I don't blame them if this is the kind of responses one gets.

I use an adjsutable Metco FPR have done so for years. I had an aeromotive but they fail constantly. When the car was tuned I had them set the FP to a higher setting than I realy needed, so I had some room to play in with the FPR. I wired an autometer FP guage in the car itself so theres no longer any guess work.
"I should also add the first time I had the car tuned it always returned to were it was set at no matter what I did with the FPR it eventually came right back to the original tuned setting" that 47psi you stated is WOT for allot of cars though."
BTW no one that replied on your thread is a "novice" or "Virgin" as most of us know these cars like "virgins" know the palm of thier hands.

I posted 'virgin territory"; referring to the subject matter, not the people. I see that reading comprehension still hasn't recovered.
"Virgin territory" - HELLO; GOT IT!? As in: Is this first time this subject matter has been discussed.
NOT THE PEOPLE, NOT THE FORUM MEMBERS, I'M REFERRING TO THE SUBJECT MATTER DISCUSSING THE CHECKING OF THE FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR BEING "VIRGIN TERRITORY". All caps are intentional, just to try to drive home a point.
How many different ways must I say the same thing?
BTW, your statement that the fuel pressure returns to were (where) it was set, etc., is incorrect. But I'm not dealing with this thread any longer; I'll leave it to someone else to correct you on that point.
One thing's for sure, I've certainly learned my lesson; trying to help here. With the exceptions of N2CEPTOR and MDACTON all I've gotten are responses indicating a misunderstanding of my efforts to help.
I'm going to unsubscribe to this thread, so please don't bother beating this topic any longer; it's already dead at least for me it is.
Should I come up with any other info I feel is helpful to others, you can bet, in the future, I won't post it here. It's just not worth the aggravation. What was it Richard Dryfuss said in "JAWS"? "I'm not going to take this abuse much longer!" LOL
Anyone interested in reading any of my comments can find them, old and new, on ThirdGen and the Corvette Forum sites.
Best to all.
Jake
Thanks for doing us all a favor and blessing this board with your wisdumb.

Um well not to hijack the thread or anything. But with a cam (such as cc306). How much is your fuel pressure suppost to go down once you put on the vacuum hose. Mine only goes down to about 42.5 psi from 43.5 psi. Not sure if that is somthing to be worried about or not but I would like input to see what you guys think.

Your reference to "virgin territory" was interpreted by me as a suggestion that you seemed to feel you were telling us something that we didn't already know. I was trying to let you know we were aware of the problem, and appreciated your help in pointing it out. It was meant to be light-hearted, and I tried to use the "virgin" reference to lighten things up ---- IT WAS AN ATTEMPT AT HUMOR.
You seem to be a very up-tight, upset, angry person. Might want to loosen up a little.
