Cheapest valve train setup for CC306!!!!

Right now I have:

ARP hardend rocker studs
Lunati Springs (seat load, hght1.750 load108)(open load, hght1.250 load339)(coil bind 1.060)(max lift .630)(rate 462). These going to be okay?
Stock Lifters
Hardend pushrods
GMPP 1.6 R/R's.

Please someone examine this setup and turn it into a competent CC306 valvetrain.

All of that will support a 306, but I'd get some new lifters and new pushrods if those are stock.

Jordon, I believe the guy I bought these from said that he bought them from you. Did you have a set of these springs at any point? The guy had never used them, did you?

do those lunati springs fit stock seats or do the heads have to be machined?

Re: Cheapest valve train setup for CC306!!!!

I've been looking at Summit Racing catalog for springs kit (springs, retainer & locks) to fit stock heads without machining and to support cc306:

I have found:

CRN-10309-1
CRN-10308-1

I know Comp Cams springs 986 & 987 (double springs) need machining and they don't sell them as a kit. I don't want to end up with wrong retainer and locks that don't fit with the springs.

Anybody have part#s for Comp Cams springs, retainers & lock that will do the job for cc306 with now head machining to fit the springs.

Re: Cheapest valve train setup for CC306!!!!

The 10308's say that they dont come with a damper spring between the springs, and what are their maximum lift?

Is a damper spring necessary?

will new stock lifters be up to the task of these springs, .560 lift, and about 6500 RPM?

It's a double spring. The 10309 is a single spring and uses a damper, but, it doesn't come with locks.
