The lowest price you'll find for a new one is $179 unless you can find a group purchase somewhere. Thunder Racing has them. I just got mine last week.

Does the 5.0 keep you from down shifting if you are going to fast or something? I've gone from 4th to 1st before I had just got the car and it was the third time I had ever driven a stick.

you'll see when you get it, the stick pulls itself toward the middle, so the 2-3 shift is almost automatic. i have an install page where i commented on that on my homepage...

I think i saw some place had the pro 5.0 + lou's short stick for about $209, so that's fairly cheap...

Ya I hadn't really read about the 5.0 pro before cause I used to have an auto. Would be nice if they made a shifter that wouldn't let you down shift if you were going too fast though hell they should have put that in the programming since they have cags why can't they have it keep you from screwing up your tranny?

LS1 Motorsports also has them for $179. Pretty good service, gotten a few mods from them.

The best deal out there is the S.L.P. shifter!!!
Same short throw as the Pro, but only half the cost.
$99.00. I love mine. ):

I'd LOVE to give you my honest opinion on the Pro 5.0, but unfortunately I'm STILL deployed overseas right now. Been here since fricken 5 February and I'm sick of it now... hmmm seem to recall Mr. Bush saying something like, "our troops will be over there as long as necessary and not a day longer." Yeah well W.T.F!!!!

I have the SLP shifter in my car right now. It's definitely better than the stocker that's for sure, but I've also tried the B&M and the Hurst shifter and they are that much better than the SLP shifter. I bought the Pro 5.0 after seeing similarly good opinions about it on this forum. It's collecting dust on my workbench right now.

BTW, if anyone's interested, I'll be selling my SLP shifter when I get back home. $50 shipped.

Well, if you go to http://www.slpeng.com you can find a pic of it there. I don't have access to my car right now or I'd send one. I gotta keep the stock stick with me so I can put it back on the stock shifter.
