Headers then a cold air intake; ls1 lid swap if one of the best, but it will take some mods to work. Catback exhaust, 1.6 rrs, cam, lifters, valve springs, and a pcm tune. First you need to be sure everything is in good shape so check the plugs, wires, and fuel filter.

Is it hard to put the ls1 lid setup on the lt1 cars?j. What's involved?

I did it on my TA with a ws6 hood in less than 2hrs; it is more difficult on the z28s, ss, and TA's, but it can be done. I believe there is a couple ways to do it; one involves cutting the core support, I don't know if I would do that. I will try to find some links for you. Here is mine, but it will not work without a lt1 ws6 or other aftermarket camaro hoods

I have the harwood cowl induction hood so there's extra clearance in that area anyway.

You should be able to do it as I did then; all you have to do is cut some plastic off of the ls1 lower air box, so that it sits and forms nicely to the core support. For the hose from the tb to the MAF I used a rubber 3.5" sewer hose from homedepot. Then just bolt the radiator support/ls1 lower airbox down with self tapping screws. Sorry for hijacking this thread; someone should do a sticky on how to do the lid swap on lt1 cars.
