Angry Changing Wires!!!

Getting ready to change my plug wires. I bought the Taylor Spiro 8mm plug wires. I looked at where they are routed on the pass. side and was thinking DAMN!!!!!!!! Is there any other way to route these babies? Driver side looks like a piece of cake, and I'm not wasting 300 dollars to have a shop put them on. So any tips or info is appreciated. Thanks as always!!!!!!!

Re: Changing Wires!!!

in all honesty, i think the pass sides much easier, only because i have headers on and on driver side the 7 piston wire was ran ALL the WAY back to the plug under this metal casing thats attached to the block, it was a pain to get off, but their really not so bad, helps to have a friend on the top side to help push the wires along

Yeah, I was going to wait to do them until I got headers but the car has 77,000 miles on the original wires I think I should change them now.

Re: Changing Wires!!!

Uhm, yeah....

My uncle is a 50 year mechanic and a die-hard GM fan. He called me at work swearing at me for asking him to do plug wires on my car. Mine has 56k on it and he just did them...I didn't need them, but he's retiring in a year and I wanted him to do them...not me

I don't know how many hours he spent, but thank god he didn't charge me for all of them. If a competent mechanic swears at the job? I wouldn't do it unless you have to...

Re: Changing Wires!!!

I've been noticing a low rpm miss lately and I thought that was the problem. I recently changed my plugs(another PITA!!!!) and figured the wires were due. I guess I got to look at it like a tooth being pulled at the dentist. Just a couple hours of pain and bleeding and it'll be over!!!!!! HAHAHAHA!!!!!!!
