Changing plugs with JetHot long tubes
Ive got all of the drivers side out. The problem is are the back most two on the passenger side.. One has a head shield on it and the other I just cant get to from bottom or top.
Any suggestions?? I really dont want to have to drop the headers (because it doesnt look like I really can). Should I unbolt them and raise them up??

yeh, i just did mine
the 3rd one on the pass side was ok, not so hard...
the last one is not hard, its just kinda hard to get to, what i did, i went thru the bottom, put the socket on with an extension, but no socket wrench, i had open wrench and did it taht way. it has to be pretty long, i think 18mm wrench and 5/8 spark plug socket with box ends.

The plugs with the Jet Hots are so easy. Probably a 30 min job at most. On the driver's side all can be gotten to from the top but #6 and #8 need to be reached from the bottom on the pass. side. The only problem is putting the plugs in because the primaries block the view of the plug holes. I stripped the #1 plug hole when I installed the headers and new plus/wires etc. last summer. Just watch out for that.

Finally got them.. I did the second to last (6?) from the top and I think I'll need recontructrive surgery for that one. The last one was a piece of cake after I dropped the starter.
Tomorrow, the fun part is putting them back in. Thats after I search around town for a decent set of plugs. Everyone has Champion or Autolite. I cant even find AC Delco around here. I had Bosch Platiums in there (the dual tongued ones) and from what I've heard, they dont hold up good.
The whole reason why Im doing this is because I'm searching for a hesitation. At idle, the car "pings" and under acceleration there is REALLY bad hesitation. I havent gotten my computer reprogrammed yet since getting the headers to take out the O2s, but I dont think that would be causing such poor performance. The only other things I can think of are possible the coil or the Opti. A couple weeks ago I went through the car wash and my SES was flashing, which from what I understand means a misfire. Soooo, we'll see where this gets me.

I'm gonna be changing plugs/wires today in a friends car. I asked him two months ago to get LTs and he never did. Put the money in other places so now since we know that's his prob I have to deal with the damn manifold. Oh well, atleast his car will finally run nice again.

If you have an OReilly's near you, you can get NGK TR-55 plugs from them. Just ask for that plug, as they don't show them for our cars they'll recommend something else. Total cost for a set around here? $13.00 or so.
