changing plug wire your self...any instructions??

i'm looking for any instruction that will help me to change my plugs and wires by my self...i saw this done to my car a year a go, and i would like to do it right by myslef now....any suggestions??

Do 1 wire at a time

Get some ramps or jackstands

A length of rubber hose to start the somewhat hard to reach plugs

double check your wires to make sure they won't get burnt on anything

take your time !

It's not nearly as hard as it is time consuming. If you can't get to something, try orientating your body several different ways until you can get it. If you still can't get it then try removing something until you can get a better angle A wide assortment of extensions etc is also very helpful. If you're doing it by yourself you might get it done in a weekend, but have a backup car just in case something goes awry.

Plug #7 runs through a metal shield, just below the #5. You have to remove it to get the new wire through the shield. Find the 2 screws that hold the shield to the block. You may only have to loosen them to slide the shield out from under them. Good luck!

having two people make it much easer . I removed the starter to get to the last two on the passenger side.

is there any web instruction where i can see the instruction step by step...i think it's a bit confusing than i think it is

the drivers side isn't to bad. But the passenger side damn it's tough. I had to remove the PS pump to do mine.

Im on the same boat as you TMD. I want to change my wires, and plugs for that matter, myself. I dont have TOO much experience and I also dont want to F up my ride. I guess thats why god invented the camaroz28.com message board .
