changing ORIGINAL plugs

ive got a 95 formula with 67k on it. I looked at all the paperwork( i got it from the last owner , ive had the car for just a few months). and im pretty sure its got the original plugs in it. IM told that the lt1 is notorious for having plugs break in the head, what can i do to make sure i dont break these things, cuz im almost positive its got the original plugs in it.

is this true that they break, and how do i avoid this???

Re: changing ORIGINAL plugs

Just pull'em out. When i got my car it had almost 100k on it and the plugs had never been changed. I just yanked out and replaced them. Put anti-seize on the new ones.

Re: changing ORIGINAL plugs

I'd plan on wires as well...the stock ones are ok until you go to disturb them.

What Blown F1 said. It's sad to say but oh so true.
