Changing fuel filter
Re: Changing fuel filter
Look for a line that goes into a rectangular cylinder about 3 inchs long and about 1-1.5 inches wide, you can follow the lines that go from the front of the car to the back on the driver side underneath the car.. Open the fuel cap to release pressure in the fuel tank before taking off the fuel filter or it will spill out of the lines for a while.
Hope it helps.

Re: Changing fuel filter
don't have any pics but it is a black canister about the size of your fist. Not sure about the in-line pump. I wouldn't think it would be different or put in another place. And yes fuel will leak out. It won't drain the tank if that is what your asking but i wouldn't be smoking while doing this
Re: Changing fuel filter
It's easy to change...it shouldn't take you any more than 20 minutes or so. Get a medium size towel (dishcloth or something) and put it under the schrader valve (towards the back of the intake manifold). Remove the cap and use a screwdriver to push down on the pin inside. This will relieve the pressure from the fuel system.
Now, get under the back side of the car. The fuel filter is a little bit smaller than a can of pop and is on the driver's side a little bit forwards of the wheel well. It has a fuel line coming into it from the tank and a fuel line coming out of it going up to the engine. Pop the clip out that is holding it with a screwdriver, then undo the lines. Make sure you have a towel or coffee can under it since it will spit out some gas. Replace it with the new filter and you're good to go.
When you go to start it for the first time, key it up, but don't start the engine. Wait until you stop hearing the fuel pump whirring, then shut it off. Key it up again, wait for the fuel pump, shut it off, then you should be good to start it up. This just makes sure that you have fuel pressure again before you start it.

When in doubt you could always buy a new fuel filter for your year and model and look under your car, there shouldnt be anything in that location that looks like the new one in your hand. Deductive reasoning.
