Changing the clutch

How difficult is it to change the clutch..I used to cange the clutch reguarly on a 76 camaro i used to have..Is there much more or less to it..besides that the 97 has a hydrolic clutch....any input would be appreciated....I did a search thank you

Nothing too hard. Few more bolts for the tranny and that's really about the only difference. The torque arm stuff can be a pain but be patient and it is pretty damn easy.

Just be sure and have at least 2' of extension to reach the front bellhousing bolts and a 1/4" drive 14mm swivel socket for the top driver's side one. It's not hard, I've done it twice, alone. Oh yeah, get the car at least 2' in the air. Regular jackstands usually aren't enough.

i dropped my tranny. took off the flywheel and changed the clutch with it on jackstands ont he lowest setting...

NOT FUN!...the flywheel almost knocked out some of my teeth

*inserts missing tooth smily here*

thats the closest i found lol
