I would have to agree that any type of "forced induction" is in a sense compressing the air going into the motor, hence the pressure reading on the boost gauge, but it is the engines inability to "swallow" that air that causes the pressure to be there in the first place

Maybe i'm just over ****, but I think you would be 100% correct if it read "any type of "forced induction" is in a sense compressing the air into the motor" I view compressing the air as compressing it, then injecting it into the engine since you stated "going into the motor" which in turn would mean it has not entered the engine yet So maybe we are saying the same thing

And you are correct on the inability to swallow the air
