ok ive decided to change my build up. instead of a 355 im going to do a 383. i found the kit fromadperformance. heres the link to it . 383 kit what i need to know is what else do i need to make this kit compatiable with my lt1. im going with some le heads i just have to talk to lloyde and figure out what to go with as in heads and cam choices. the intake will be ported and i planon switching to a 58 mm throttle body.

 

I think you should get forged pistons.

do i need bigger injectors?
do i need the lt4 knock module?
i plan on spraying a 150-200 wet shot on it.

And 12,000-15,000 dollars ya ain't doing nothing with to make a killer set up,that doesen't break something everytime ya stand on it..The engine is only 1 part of the equation.

Ya need tranny,converter,rear end,wheels,tires,guages,drive shaft,TA, shocks and that's a start. There WILL be more.

Ya can make 600FWHP with Loyd's 3 set up what's up with the hose? That's about 480RWHP,Now you are getting real hard on the driveline if ya HOOK it and spinning don't go anywhere.

 

if you read my sig then you would see i already have a race ready bullit proof a604. i already have 373 gears and a nice set of mt's the post was for the engine only. if i have a tranny q ill post it in the tranny section.

Is that 3.73 gear in a 12 bolt or a 9"?

Never herd of a a604 tranny.Have heard of a 4L60E,4L80E,700R4,2004R,Turbo 350-400,Glide,ect.

Larry's trying to help you...as he's 'been there, done that' many times. There are a slew of parts you're going to need (the little stuff adds up fast), and an LT4 KM, bigger injectors and forged pistons should be on your list.

You need to do more research on the whole combination IMO. BTW, what is an a604??

 

There's SO much more to it than the engine internals. The truth is, a "budget 383" doesn't exist after all the necessary upgrades and stuff that is going to break.

The only time 'budget' and '383' are mentioned in the same breath is when you accept the fact and say that the '383' is going to break the 'budget'.
