Cool Change in weather = enhanced performance??

Driving around town today I've noticed that my car is running great. It feels much smoother through the gears and feels like I have more power. It's almost like my car just woke up from a long sleep.

I'm assuming it's because we had a cold front and it's only about 85 degrees right now as opposed to 110 last week. Plus, I've heard that with a new torque converter and transmission rebuild, there is a break-in time period before it starts driving better.

Has anyone else had this experience with their Z28, or I am imagining things?

Even your lawn mower will cut better in cooler air.

The more air/fuel you stuff in, the more power. colder air = denser air.

I noticed you're in College Station. Did you notice a change in performance today?

call your local airport and ask around for the number of the "automated weather observation system." If you know any pilots they may know. If you call that number, it will tell you all the weather conditions including density altitude. Thats the number that most affects you. Once you get that number you can tell how good your car is going to be running before you get in it. That number helps a LOT in bracket racing.
