i just changed my knock sensor because my car was seeing 5 degress of knock retard while just revving the engine but everything else was fine the sensor was a factory 10 year old part so i figured ok time to change it. so i went and picked up one for a 96 vette w/ the lt4 in it figuring that would be a less sensitive one to get now my car is a 94 and when i put it in the car threw a code instantly now i haven't scanned it yet to see what the code is but could the fact that i got a sensor for a 96 lt4 and not a 94 lt1 have anything to do with it i did nothing else to the car and now it throws a damn code!! if anyone knows please help. thanks.

 

You have the wrong part. They are not compatible you need to get a 94 F-body LT1 KS.

don't forget to TQ the new sensor to 14 Ft Lbs or it will cause false knock if over tightened.
