Champ Oil Pan Help?

Anyone have experience with a Champ Oil Pan #CP40RB and fitment issues on a '97 Camaro LT1? My main concern is that I didn't have much clearance between the stock pan and the header pipe that crosses over in front of the sump. I am estimating that clearance was 3/4" with the stock pan. Currently engine is out of car...

How much did you expect? Sounds normal! Get headers and you wont have this problem.

How would headers make a diff? I did install a set of Pacesetters, however, the header pipe is still in the same place...It crosses over in front of the oil pan sump.
FYI- This car gets a blessing from the California Air Resources Board Bureau of Automotive Repair every 2 years.
