The white spring just makes your stock pump work alot better. Its a pain with the motor in the car but but even then its way worth it. High volume pumps are known for sucking the pan dry so i wouldnt reccomend them. THe only problem i see with your set up is the punk *** cc503 cam.

couldn't agree more, you went Crane springs, LS7 lifters, CC Pro Mag 1.6's, LT's and Tune, should have at least gone CC305 or CC306 for a few dollars more
if that's all the cam you wanted you should have just purchased an LT4 hotcam kit and had everything brand new for like 300 bucks or so

You really dont need the ED timming chain there have been more failures with them than a stock replacement chain.

Isn't the 305 smaller than the 503?

I almost have the identical set-up and it has worked flawlessly. You won't be disappointed! Don't forget to get a tune and to throw it on the dyno afterward to make sure your a/f and power looks good.

no, sized from smallest to largest:
503
305
306

the 503 being just a bit more aggressive than an LT4 hotcam and will also not REQUIRE a high stall and supporting mods of the like, as the 306 would
so basically, just an LT4 Hotcam... not saying it's a bad cam, you'll definitely be pleased with the results, but I figured since you already had the LT's and you replaced the rest of the valvetrain with pretty good components that you would want to step it up a little bit
but then again, I don't know what you're going for either, whether it's just your daily driver or if it's your street/strip toy
it's not a problem that you picked the 503, all your components will work together just fine and you'll have a solid setup

Its def it a daily driver, i got some money back from college so i decided to throw it in the motor, maybe i got too ahead of myself on buying these components but i just cant afford to drive it with the 306 in it. Not right now anyway, I could switch the cam out later, shouldnt be too much of a problem right? What do the ppl run in the eighth with the 503??

Depends on what you mean by bigger, more lift or more duration? I'd consider the 503 to be more aggressive than the 305. Both are great shelf grinds though. Per Comp website and the sticky over at ls1tech:

cc305: (220/230 .544/.544 114lsa) w/ 1.6RR's
Very similar in size to the LT4 Hot Cam but with 2 more degrees of duration on the intake and exhaust side at .050 and a bit more lift. Comes in a 112lsa and 114lsa. The 114lsa will have increased bottom-end power over the 112lsa while that will have increased top-end power. The 114lsa is sometimes favored by cars running Nitrous or Blowers because it provides less overlap than a 112lsa which helps maximize the power coming from the Nitrous or Blower. Features Comp's Magnum lobes which are older but proven to not take a beating on the valvetrain.
Pass Emissions?: Yes
Shift Point for Maximum Performance: 6200-6300rpm
Idle Characteristics: 114lsa will have a Smooth Idle, 112lsa will have a Choppy Idle
M6; Require Gears?: No
A4; Require Stall?: 2500+ Stall Speed

cc503: (224/230 .537/.544 112lsa) w/ 1.6RR's
Widely known for being the biggest cam you want to run on a stock headed car without sacrificing usable power and drivability. Has a strong mid-range with good top-end power. Features Comp's XE (Xtreme Energy) lobes for more top-end power. May have some cam surge.
Pass Emissions?: No, requires tuning to pass
Shift Point for Maximum Performance: 6200-6400rpm
Idle Characteristics: Choppy Idle
M6; Require Gears?: No
A4; Require Stall?: 2500+ Stall Speed

Most people just get a new stock set up works fine.
