I've been hearing alot about the cc503 cam, how does this fall into play against the hotcam, cc305, and the cc306. I'm not sure which way to go. My car is not a daily driver, mostly weakends and/or nice days. I do occasionaly have to drive in trafic, but not all that often. I have headers, exhaust, 373's, fipk, throttle body, ect. I will be running the stock heads for some time, untill I can save up the money to have them done. Any one have any insight or suggestions? Thanks.

 

I have this cam along with mods in sig. It is the max duration cam I would use with a stock TC. I have weak brakes after startup but it normally doesn't last more than 15 seconds or so. I guess it takes longer to evac the can. I do not have any surge at all btw. I believe the steeper lobes of the new xtreme cams allow for more duration without the surge effects that the older lobes from the 304, 305, and 306 experience.
