Well I'm buying cam,springs, retainers from this guy and he said that the beehive springs is what comp cams recommend to go with the 306?? Is there any extra stuff I need to buy before i do my cam swap? I just want to be prepared!! As I will be doing this over spring break and can't afford to not have a special part and all the stores be closed! Thanks in advance!

Yea pretty much...he seemed to be a nice guy! I'm just waiting on him to call me back again! He was getting me a shipping quote!! I'm getting the Cam,Springs,Ti Retainers, ET streets and 97 z28 rims for $225! Not a bad deal AT ALL!! Thanks again for refering me to him!!

 

Comp Beehive Spring Setup for stock LT1 heads:

26915 or 26918 springs (depending the pressure you want)
795-16 retainers (10*)
614-16 locks (10* +.050")
4705-16 spring seats

On a stock aluminum LT1 head this setup should
result in a 1.745" installed height. At this installed
height the springs should be good for .610" lift with
a .050" safety margin.
