CC306 vs. XE 230/236??

12.7 @ 115 on street tires and UNPORTED STOCK HEADS
My friend had a 230/236 XE grind in his car, our cars are pretty much identical. He would get walked up top every time we raced. He later switched to CC306 and we were dead even.
I made 348/344 and he made 353/343. Thats on stock heads, no big TBs, stock water pump etc.
