I'd run the GM847 probably, unfortunately I know nothing of torque converters though so I can't recommend something based on that.

Going with the fact that you have a 3a, I would suggest the GM847, since it looks like your trying to go as fast as possible.

Crane 109841 .

Same as the 847. May be able to find it cheaper since its crane, maybe not.

Anyways, used it on 2 different LT1s and it screams.

Yep, Crane/Blue does the GM cams, you can order from a dealership probably cheaper than most outlets charge for cams - but expect about $220 or so, so no huge savings in store.

You may want to throw the CC XE 236/242 into the mix too.

No, its just what everyone and thier grandma runs when they want something a little on the "big" size, there are cams with ALOT more "power" potential. CC306 is an OLD design, IMO its outdated, and the exaust duration is excessive.

It performs well, so there is no reason to be different for the sake of just being different, but there are better cams out there for most people.

excellent question, I have been wondering wich of these cams to go with myself. I am pretty sure the 230/236 peaks at 6500 and the rest you would have to rev higher. I just heard of this one from ultradyne 232-238 on a 110 LS and a 105 ICL custom cam.
