Well i'm going to be shifting at about 6800 in my m6 with 195k miles on it, haha. I would say shift at 6500 but idk if that 2800 stall is going to be enough.

I had red line set at 6800 and was shifting between 6500-6800. Our stock tachs suck. Now I will have a shift light at least to help. I can check it with the pcm to see where I am actually shifting.

Landed me two spun rod bearings.

With stock heads I shift at 6200 rpms using a shift light because dash tach is out. The horsepower drops off by that point so no need going higher.

Looking at my graph, stock heads... it went flat from 5700-6300 (fuel issues) and fell off after that. Dyno and see where to shift.

Well before I spun 2 rod bearings and a main bearing I was shifting at around 6500 with mine.......

I don't think these motors particularly like being spun that fast but o'well time to build the motor in the sig......

these guys are right, stock haeds are going to quit "breathing" way before 65-6800 anyways. i would say drive it and do what feels right. the engine will tell you where it wants to be shifted if you just "feel" it. i know the wording dont make sense but i think most of you know what i mean,

Well that is true that the stock heads are going to run out of steam around 6200 with that big of a cam. Although, when shifting to the next gear it is helpfull to rev it a bit higher in the gear before so it is farther up in the powerband after the shift. This may or may not get you a faster time but you just have to play around with it i guess and see what works.

My shift points were at 6250 and 6300 on stock heads. Rev it to 6700 now with the MSD set at 7000.

I got a dyno graph send me ur email. Quits making power at 6200 so if I'm runing hard I shift at 6400 to fall back into power band. If your setting a limiter I would set it at 6600, that should be fine, and wont hurt if you bounce off it.
