CC306 sounds less aggressive than the hotcam?

I just put a 306 in my car and it sounds about the same or weaker then the hotcam....i haven't got it to the track yet because i have a fuel pump that is pumping 23-25 psi at all time......would that make the car not sound too aggressive....i know a lot of you have done this swap so let me know what you guys think about the sound.

I didn't know the Hot Cam sounded agressive at all. I'm throwing one in my 383 and wanted it because its gonna be an everyday car. Did the Hot Cam have a lopey sound to it?

My CC306 was loud at idle for the first 200miles or so, now its smoothed out and gotten a lot less choppy at idle.

Without any tuning, the Hotcam has a pretty lopey sound to it.

so the cc306 is suppose to sound like it does...? I mean my hotcam had tuning done by pcmforless and the cc306 doesn't seem to be hitting any harder than the hotcam......I couldn't even tell that I had even changed cams......don't know about performance yet becuase of the fuel pump...i should be here in a few days...but i figured that from a hotcam to a comp cam 306 that it would have made it sound a little different.....

I wouldn't really give it a lot of thought until you get fuel into the motor. If it is still the same, I would get it on a dyno and see what is going on.

The 306 does not sound like the hot cam, the 306 is more of a chopey sounding cam where as the hot cam sounds more like actual mild lope.

maybe you got the cams mixed up and put the hotcam back in. J/K, that would suck though wouldn't it..... Get the fuel to the motor and see what happens.
