I am at the end of the swap...everything in the car...cars running. Ran into one problem...the car is running really really rich. So rich the exhaust hurts your eyes. Any reasons for this? Any info at all would help...thanks.

I didnt see tunning in your sig...is it tuned at all yet?

 

I have a PCM4less tune with my 306 and it isnt too rich at all. The BLMS actually look great at both idle and while cruising.

Is it sooo rich, that gas is coming out of the tailpipes?!

Try tuning, if you haven't.

 

Just because it smells rich doesn't mean it is actually running too rich.

Triple check the rockers/valve lash and get it scanned.

I havent installed mine yet but from what ive heard...its gonna run pretty rich. As for the PCM4Less, maybe you can say to make it more on the lean side? A buddy of mines cam was VERY rich...you saw fuel coming out of the tail pipes. It wasnt a 306, but it didnt have tunning. Thats why I asked.

So just get some tuning done right now, ask him to make it as lean as possible without power loss (if there really is any at all).
