cc306/ optispark

Would i be ok using the 95-97 optispark, or do i have to get the 93-94 optispark ? Just not sure what the pin length is for the 306 , but im assuming i will have to get the newer one, not positive tho, any one ?

(right now i don't have any optispark, so it doesn't matter which one it is )

Thanks.

Nobody can give you any opinions or suggestions untill we know what year your car is.

1983 camaro, but that doesnt help you, this motor i dont know the year of but it was had cast iron heads , so it's a impala or roadmaster block, its new no miles but i dont know where it came from :O , i thought the only thing that mattered was to know the length of the pin on the cam and the hole dont mind me

Thanks

All b/d-body(which included Caprice and Fleetwood too) LT1s(iron heads) got the later vented opti. Pin length I think you want about .625", if you want to double check that I am sure a search here will turn up lots of info. I know the earlier stuff was shorter but the .625 is supposed to work across the board. If you have the old stock cam from the motor just check it against that, and do not force the opti on.
